The EU Design and Construction team is looking for an experienced SolarConstruction Management Leader that will be a key part of the ConstructionManagement team. The ideal candidate has demonstrated effective leadership andpeople management performance in a fast moving and ever challenging environment.Knowledge and experience of solar focused Construction Management isimperative. This includes responsibility for project managing the design andinstallation of solar facilities supporting Fulfilment Centre’s (FC), includingboth existing facilities and any new sites. The Solar Construction Manager willplay an integral role in the development and implementation of the EU facilitynetwork infrastructure. This role will analyze and evaluate different facilityscenarios and build-out designs with an emphasis on the introduction,construction and operation of solar systems. In addition, this candidate has tosupport the standardization of the technical and facility related processes andsystems required to operate and maintain installed solar systems.

This opportunity combines personnel management, organizational leadership,construction engineering, planning, project management, facilities management,and contract management. It requires a person who can show proven ability inleading geographically dispersed Solar Construction Managers.
The opportunity will require the candidate to travel to various sites acrossthe EU.

· Lead, motivate, and manage consultant teams across the EU, in a remote officeenvironment
· Develop and manage metrics quantifying performance
· Provide positive, clear, concise, and transparent cross team communicationfor all aspects of project delivery
· Oversee multiple projects in various locations simultaneously
· Oversee engineering review process and lead construction scope review anddevelopment with internal operational customers on new and retrofit projects
· Support utility interconnection application process and applicable permit/AHJapprovals.
· Oversee and facilitate execution of solar installations involving both existingand new facilities within the network
· Enforce contracts and uphold design standards with solar developers, GeneralContractors and trade contractors and present formal documentation for approvalwhen required Facilitate and team with internal stakeholders regardingengineering buildouts, IT readiness, and turnover to operational groups
· Coach and guide all project teams (developers, design engineers, generalcontractors, sub-contractors, internal stakeholders) throughout the fullproject lifecycle
· Establish and operate the information systems necessary for effectivescheduling and recording of contract work
· Review of designs for conformance to current EU Customer Fulfilment buildingspecifications and standards
· Perform comprehensive budget tracking, forecasting, and management ofassigned solar projects
· Conduct receipt, review, and analysis of all proposed cost and time changerequests as presented by external project teams
· Review and guide internally requested changes for validity, impact, andensure timely and cost sensitive incorporation once approved
· Lead and/or assist in negotiations with appropriate AHJ entities as required



· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management orcomparable field; or military experience
· Experience operating within at least two disciplines within the constructionindustry, such as General Contracting, Owner’s Representation, CommercialDevelopment, or Engineering and Design, or similar
· Experience as an Engineer, Senior Construction Manager, and otherconstruction related disciplines
· Experience as a Project Manager, or equivalent, in the solar industry
· Project management experience from due diligence and design phase throughimplementation and operation
· Experience negotiating solar construction and development contracts



· Master’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management
· Proven record of positive and increasing levels of responsibility, jobcomplexity and management performance
· Ability to effectively communicate Amazon requirements to various audiences(e.g. senior management, peers, public officials, vendors, etc.
· Experience inclusive of Facilities Manager or similar
